BIG AMA Tour
We decided to do the BIG AMA tour at Arenal Mundo Aventura. This course was perfect for us because we had already done other horseback riding excursions and nature walks and had visited La Fortuna Waterfall. In addition to the ziplining, you also get to visit the Maleku Cultural Rescue Centre. For an additional fee, you can also opt to return on horseback!

More About Arenal Mundo Aventura
The Best Costa Rica Zipline – Arenal Mundo Aventura
Sustainability & Conservation
Arenal Mundo Aventura is the first theme park to receive the Sustainable Tourism Certification by the Costa Rican Board of Tourism. They have also won the Blue Flag Award for their dedication to sustainable tourism and water conservation. Protecting more than 560 hectares of rainforest, Arenal Mundo Aventura was included in the Eco-Index and named a “Company Making a Difference.”
The primary objective of Arenal Mundo Aventura Tropical Ecological Park is to “conserve the rainforest and the environment, combining that with ecotourism and responsible adventure tourism.” Since opening, they have managed to uphold this objective, reforesting a large amount of land, of which they only use 10% for their daily operations. One way they have done this is by securing zipline platforms to the ground, to protect the trees themselves.
Another important part of Arenal Mundo Aventura is the Maleku Indian Cultural Rescue Center. For most of the tours, they finish here, where people can learn about the Maleku traditions and cultural roots as well as how we can protect one of the smallest ethnic groups in Costa Rica.
